Rebecca is dedicated to raising awareness about the significance of estate planning within the community. In her presentations, she educates attendees on the various options that can streamline and expedite the process for loved ones assisting an individual during times of incapacity or after death, as well as the repercussions of insufficient planning.
Rebecca explores the complexities of estate planning in detail. She explains the purpose of a Durable Power of Attorney, Healthcare Directive, Will, and Trust. She presents strategies to avoid probate, including appointing beneficiaries and utilizing TOD (Transfer On Death) and POD (Pay On Death) designations for financial accounts and vehicles. Additionally, she discusses the benefits of Revocable Trusts and the circumstances under which one might be necessary. Rebecca points out the dangers of naming children as co-owners of assets and recommends other options. Finally, she discusses what happens for individuals without these critical documents when they are needed.
Each event is unique. Rebecca does not use a PowerPoint, preferring to allow attendee interaction and fielding questions to steer the presentation.
